![]() ![]() Cox's Ward Abbot and Allen's Agent Landy have their own agendas and plotlines. ![]() These are not your one-dimensional rule the world bad guys of the Bond world. Just as the first film cast another great actor, Chris Cooper, as the villain, the Bourne series shows its commitment to creating nuanced, intriguing characters played by great actors. ![]() Brian Cox and Joan Allen are good in just about everything they do. While the Bourne series is always steeped in danger, intrigue and drama, he appears just a tad more comfortable in the role in Supremacy, allowing his character's range of emotions to flow effortlessly through constantly unpredictable scenarios. Damon's command of the Jason Bourne part has grown, and he seems to have more freedom to have fun with the role this time. Damon's boyish good looks serve as an effective contrast to the chaos his assassin-trained character is capable of. Matt Damon also picks up right where he finished the first film. This serves the film's many action sequences and makes Bourne a consistently fascinating character to watch. ![]() Bourne is a ticking time bomb with abilities that seem to come out of nowhere. Greengrass does a good job of picking up where the first film left off. Like Doug Liman before him, producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley chose to go with a less obvious director from the indie scene. This Bourne adventure is directed by Paul Greengrass ( Bloody Sunday). ![]()
